Have you ever tried to compare prices of service providers online? If so you know how difficult it is to find basic prices to different services. If you want to rent a limo for your wedding you have to find each limo company, call each limousine company, get their prices, and hope the limousine service you select is reputable. I ran into this very problem renting an Atlanta wedding limo back a few years ago. I had so much trouble finding a good service that I just rented a nice car from a local dealership. This cost me time and cost a good limo company a job.

When I learned about LocalPrice.com I was happy to see that someone was finally providing a solution to problems like mine. I was so impressed with the concept that I’m now working with Local Price to expand the site and provide more information to visitors. I hope you’ll look around Local Price and if you like it share it with your friends and family. We are only in Atlanta now, but within a few months will be expanding to other cities.

Let me know what you think.

This blog isn’t meant to trash companies. The purpose is to help you create better sites so that you can increase conversions and make more money. But I do believe that by revealing what some companies do wrong we can all learn. One company that does plenty wrong and has personally wronged me many times is Charter Communication.

I’ve never dealt with such a sloppy company as my old cable company, Charter. In any other industry the laws of the free market would have killed Charter – or they would have responded and improved their service to save themselves – but with all the monopolies in the cable market Charter has been able to survive.

A few months ago I finally got tired of Charter constantly screwing up my bill, providing poor cable and Internet service, and then not being able to get an intelligent person on the phone when I called. After months of calls and multiple dropped calls I dropped Charter Communications. It was the best thing I ever did. I replaced Charter with Direct TV and haven’t had a problem since. My reception in clear, my Internet service works, and my bills are correct. In a year and a half I probably called Charter’s customer service 15 times. I have only called Direct TV once, and that was to order new service.

If communities are ever freed from the cable monopoly we will see an end to the poor service we get from companies like Charter. There’s never and excuse for poor customer service. Eventually Charter will pay for all the years they took advantage of those that had to deal with them because of unfair monopolies.

A few years ago I worked for a company that owned over 100 Websites. I managed all the sites and had to constantly find new Web hosts or change old hosts. It was a pain in the butt. My boss didn’t want to spend a lot of money so I had to find hosting for under $10.00 a month. This was difficult because most cheap host were poor to mediocre. Basically I got what I paid for. I swear some of them were being run out of people’s basements.

Finally I found GoDaddy. I didn’t know anything about Godaddy and they hadn’t been made famous yet by their Superbowl commercial. They were just another cheap host from all I knew. I quickly learned that they were very easy to work with, had excellent customer support, and my sites actually stayed online. I didn’t have to worry about them. Once I realized how reliable Godaddy was I switched all of our sites to them. They made my job so much easier.

Godaddy is the best Web host you will find at the price. It’s probably the best Web host you can find at any price to be honest. I have all my personal and business domain names registered with Go daddy and all of my hosting with them. I’ve never had a problem and if it looks like anything of concern is coming up they call me first. I’ve seen others lose their domain names because of a bad registrar, but that won’t happen with Godaddy. If you want to buy a domain name or host a Web site use Godaddy. I trust Godaddy and I endorse GoDaddy
