Google Confusing the Hell out of Me
I built a site on a highly searched for topic and built the best site with the best information. For months Google kept me number one for targeted keywords. Then they dropped me to the second page. I’m sure they will put me back on the top again, but why remove me if they are only to put me back up later? Maybe it’s to check out how other sites will do, and that’s fine if those other sites were of any quality. The problem is they’re not. The sites on the first page really stink. Some are not even Websites but search results pages from other search engines. It just doesn’t make sense. I guess we still have a long way to go in perfecting Internet search.
I have experienced some serious rankings rollercoaster rides this year. There one day, gone the next. Other than a few threads at Webmaster World Forums, I don’t see many folks talking about it. Scary, it is.
