It Takes More Than Traditional SEO to Thrive in Today’s Internet

Homer I first started in the online marketing world as a Search Engine Optimization manager.  Back then nobody, including folks in the industry, had any idea what SEO was.  SEO had a cool name, but the concepts were fairly easy.  The hardest work was taking the time to do the things that made the difference like changing thousands of Meta tags, gathering thousands upon thousands of links, and optimizing content.  Those things are still important, but they won’t push and keep you at the top of the search results for long.  To compete in the ever-growing Internet you must evolve.  Someone that only practices traditional SEO is going to be left in the dust.

To compete organically in today’s Internet marketplace you must combine more than on page factors and external links to beat your competition.  You need to use social media tactics, word of mouth, and any other channel you can access.

Learn SEO.  Use SEO.  But don’t forget all the other options at your fingertips or soon you will be left behind while your competition thrive.  Sign up for an RSS feed and keep checking back as I show you how to promote your Web site and get the most out of every dollar you spend and every minute you work.
